![]() Talk about what I like to call a ‘God Shot’! I was hooked from that day forward.įor many years I have known that I want to help people feel better mentally and physically. ![]() One day I came across an intro to yoga DVD, I popped it into the player and listened to this woman talk about her journey in yoga and how it helped her in her own journey of recovering from addiction. This was an extremely difficult time in my life, I was full of stress and I was fearful of where my life was going. I was a newly sober, recovering alcoholic and on top of that I was preparing to be a mother. I find great affinity between writing and practicing yoga, especially in being aware of unveiled self and learning about authenticity of people and the world. I obtained my BA at Hunger College and MFA degree at City College of New York, both with English literature and writing major. ![]() I am a native of Japan, currently living in Brooklyn, NY. I offer classes by accommodating to the students’ different levels, ages and backgrounds, welcoming all to my class! I have completed 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training course and I am a certified Yoga instructor. Soon, I started hoping to connect other people through Yoga practice. Since that realization my appreciation to the practice has grown. I think Yoga practice became so fundamental in my life (like air and water) that I didn’t notice how important it has been to me until I turned my attention to it! An interesting thing is I didn’t notice that I’d been so much into Yoga since the day until someone commented that I must love Yoga if I practice it every single day. One day when I was still a student, I borrowed a Yoga VHS cassette from a library and tried Yoga for the first time. Through practicing ballet I’ve been always conscious about alignment and movement of body but I had never had passion for any physical activities. My mission as a yoga teacher is to help people connect to their body and spirit so they can find more peace and strength within them.
